Although she moved away from Thanet as a child, Susan retains a very close affinity with Margate and returns regularly. She is Honorary Secretary of the Dreamland Trust, which administers the Save Dreamland Campaign and is also involved in a number of voluntary and community sector organisations with particular interest in education, equality and diversity, and her church.
Secretary: Mandy Wilkins
Mandy started the Chelsea Cobbler shoe business in the 60s, moved into housewares and retail in the 80s, started historical studies in the 90s and gained a degree from the University of Kent in the 00s... She is currently historian to Thanet District Council.
Webmaster/Liaison: Gretchen Cornwall
A Revisionist historian and comparative religion researcher. She is currently writing a book about the Shell Grotto. Please stay in touch with this site for future information as her own website will be up in the near future. Gretchen has also been a historical wedding dress designer and is the co-founder/singer-songwriter for World Tree Music with her husband John Cornwall. In her spare time she also pretends she is the webmaster for FOSG!
Treasurer: Claire Blackwell
As a regular visitor to Margate as a child, Claire has now made this seaside town her home. She has a keen interest in local history and has been involved with events for the Save Dreamland Campaign, the Friends of the Shell Grotto and the Friends of the Margate Caves. Claire is a qualified bookkeeper and currently in her fourth year of accountancy studies.
