Join us for a rare chance to enjoy an evening of publicity films spanning the 20th Century, featuring Margate in a starring role, with supporting performances from Ramsgate, Broadstairs and even far-flung Sandwich.
Screened in the Walpole Bay’s beautiful Ballroom, films so far confirmed include: Magical Margate, dating from around 1919, and not screened publicly in living memory; All Go Margate, from 1970, with Michael Aspel boasting about the town’s 2 million annual visitors; publicity footage of Thanet from the 1950s; and Dreamland films from several decades.
