Halloween Tales at the Shell Grotto
An evening of Folklore, Fables and Fairytales
31 October 2008 at 7 to 10 PM
For the first time ever the Shell Grotto will be hosting an event on the night of Halloween. And the mysterious temple is the perfect venue for spooky goings on!
Down in the eerie depths of the Grotto, the Theatre of the Small will present Devil Tales; a puppet show based on early European folk tales, portraying how the Devil tricks mankind and mankind tricks the Devil. Meanwhile, Sandwich storyteller and honorary King of Fools Tony Cooper will spin sinister tales and gruesome stories by candlelight…enter if you dare!
This promises to be a rather special event - and the fainthearted can always stay upstairs! We’ll have decorations, a bar, friendly company and atmospheric music.
Shows will be running throughout the evening, so feel free to arrive late, pop in for an hour, or spend the entire evening with us.
All proceeds from Halloween Tales will go to the Friends of the Shell Grotto. Tickets are free to Friends of the Shell Grotto, £4.00 for non-members. Pre-booking is advised on 01843 220008. If you would like to buy tickets click below.
To save on postage, we will hold your name at the door. Paypal will issue a printable receipt.
THIS EVENT CONTAINS SOME SPINE-CHILLING MOMENTS AND IS NOT SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN!
